- Michael, I am not implying that the 00-08 version is the
- cure all to all scsi problems. Very few things can make
- that claim. What I am saying is that when you do
- experience problems with the scsi bus, upgrading the
- controller chip to the 00-08 version may be a solution.
- This is based on the experience I've had with my machine as
- well as the experience of others. In my case, proper
- cables were used, termination was correct, and problems
- still persisted when multiple devices were present on the
- scsi bus. After I upgraded the controller chip, the
- problems went away while all other equipement remained the
- same. The chip is just a possible solution... not the ONLY
- solution.
